What is Audience Response? Wireless Keypad

Audience response system consists of a set of "X" number of keypads, an RF receiver, a computer and software that is used to collect data from the audience.

The audience response keypad that you see to the right is a typical high quality keypad, also sometimes called a clicker.

The audience response keypads are used by the members of an audience to answer questions presented on a video screen. Immediately after the questions have been answered, the results are shown on a chart as the one below.

If used properly, an audience response system can improve the retention of the material taught or spoken, as well as keep the audience engaged in the presentation by allowing them to participate, not just passively listen.

How is audience response used?

In the current meeting and training environment, it is unacceptable to NOT engage your audience in the presentation. Today's audiences want more. They want to be involved. They want to express their opinion. They want to see how others in the room feel about the subject. They are used to being part of the action with the growing use of social networking.
