Moment-to-Moment Opinion Tracking During the Presidential Debate

Meridia's continuous moment-to-moment polling system -- called Timeline -- was used by ABC News and Good Morning America to track the opinions of 10 undecided, or moveable, Pennsylvania voters as they watched the 3rd presidential debate for the November 2004 election between Republican incumbent George W. Bush and Democratic Candidate Senator John Kerry.

Throughout the debate, Meridia's polling system captured the ever-changing opinions of the audience as they continuously entered their current opinion via an RSVP keypad.

The computer system collected the responses and displayed a running timeline graph over the debate video to show how each candidate was succeeding in influencing the voters.
